Is it worth it to fill a cavity in a baby tooth?

Yes, a baby tooth with a cavity should still be filled. Cavities can become painful when not treated and the tooth may not be ready to come out for a few months or years. We don’t recommend extracting baby teeth before they are ready because they serve as place holders for the permanent teeth.
